I am from Naas, Co. Kildare, and practiced and lectured in architecture and conservation before moving to painting full time in 2002.   I was trained in Chinese brush painting technique by Weimin He.  Since I adopted my Lurcher Whippet (see my story) I have been painting him, and now have found other people who are passionate about their animals would love to have their pet’s portrait painted.

Solo exhibitions have been shown at the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, Kildare Co. Council Offices, Trinity College Dublin, The Courthouse Gallery, Ennistymon and Athy Community Arts Centre Selected exhibitions include the Riverbank Arts Centre, Eigse, 411 Galleries in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Beijing, Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin, Dunlavin Arts Festival and Tuckmill Gallery, Naas.

Awards include Trinity College Visual & Performing Arts Award, the Tyrone Guthrie International Exchange with Djerassi Artists Residence California, the Tom and Johanna Baruch Fellowship and Kildare and Clare Co. Council Artists Awards.

Collections include Trinity College Dublin, the A.M.N.C.H., Newbridge Silverware and the Tyrone Guthrie Centre.
